Twelve Days of Christmas Pooh Style

On the first day of Christmas my true love said to me
A lazy turkey scratching for its tea

On thé second day of Christmas
My true love said to me,
Two wombats wobbling
And A lazy turkey scratching for its tea

On the third day of Christmas
My true love said to me
Three possums snoring
Two wombats wobbling
And A lazy turkey scratching for its tea

On the fourth day of Christmas
My true love said to me
Four farting frilled necks
Three possums snoring
Two wombats wobbling
And A lazy turkey scratching for its tea

On the fifth day of Christmas
An old flame said to me
Five fruity pigeons
Four farting frilled necks
Three possums snoring
Two wombats wobbling
And A lazy turkey scratching for its tea

On the sixth day of Christmas
An old flame said to me,
Six drongos a-spangling
Five fruity pigeons
Four farting frilled necks
Three possums snoring
Two wombats wobbling
And A lazy turkey scratching for its tea

On the seventh day of Christmas
Another lover said to me
Seven serious scrub wrens
Six drongos a-spangling
Five fruity pigeons
Four farting frilled necks
Three possums snoring
Two wombats wobbling
And A lazy turkey scratching for its tea

On thé 8 th day of Christmas
My true love said to me
8 tawny frogmouths
Seven serious scrub wrens
Six drongos a-spangling
Five fruity pigeons
Four farting frilled necks
Three possums snoring
Two wombats wobbling
And A lazy turkey scratching for its tea

The ninth day of Christmas
My true love said to me
Nine Dragons angling
8 tawny frogmouths
Seven serious scrub wrens
Six drongos a-spangling
Five fruity pigeons
Four farting frilled necks
Three possums snoring
Two wombats wobbling
And A lazy turkey scratching for its tea

On the tenth day of Christmas
My true love said to me
10 goannas knocking
Nine Dragons angling
8 tawny frogmouths
Seven serious scrub wrens
Six drongos a-spangling
Five fruity pigeons
Four farting frilled necks
Three possums snoring
Two wombats wobbling
And A lazy turkey scratching for its tea

On thé 11th day of Christmas
My true loved pleased me
Eleven liberated lyrebirds
10 goannas knocking
Nine Dragons angling
8 tawny frogmouths
Seven serious scrub wrens
Six drongos a-spangling
Five fruity pigeons
Four farting frilled necks
Three possums snoring
Two wombats wobbling
And A lazy turkey scratching for its tea

On thé 12 th day of Christmas
My true love said to me
Twelve glowing gumnuts
Eleven liberated lyrebirds
10 goannas knocking
Nine Dragons angling
8 tawny frogmouths
Seven serious scrub wrens
Six drongos a-spangling
Five fruity pigeons
Four farting frilled necks
Three possums snoring
Two wombats wobbling
And A lazy turkey scratching for its tea

12 glowing gumnuts
11 liberated lyrebirds
10 goannas knocking
9 dragons angling
8 tawny frogmouths
7 serious scrubwrens
6 drongos spangling
5 fruity doves
4 farting frilled necks
3 possums snoring
2 wombats wobbling
And a lazy turkey scratching for its tea

Digital December
And the first to hit the key
is Cousin Bill from Mornington
Sitting by the sea.

Oh well I say tis bout time
The mob from the southern deep
Woke up early on this day
And let loose the thoughts they keep.

What about you other scribes
In homes and tents and vans
Are you sleeping cosy with other tribes
Or opening baked bean cans
This early?
Surely not!
Some are pulling weeds out
They’d rather forget-me-not.

So Spring has gone but only just
methinks its still around
The sun is shining in our parts
Yet water is in the ground
And the plants are striving
Making leaves apace
Reaching for the sky
More flowers are sneaking summer looks
And white is on their face.

So folks another calendar wheel
Has turned slyly its midnight oil
Just you get up enjoy this time
Ring your bells and kerb your toil.

Trust your senses get a feel
For all that’s good and well
Take slow the breaths don’t hurry or scold
Your thoughts will do you well.

Happy December All my relations

Snow flowers Snow flowers
The Big Tree The Big Tree
